Now

Happy Halloween!! Time change, the Marathon, the Election!!!

I have not written a post for quite some time…but I had a full and rich creative Spring and Summer, with performances of my newest solo “NoT yeT” at the Salvatore La Russo showcase in June, and nine fantastical performances with the Queensborough Dance Festival 2024 , both indoors and outdoors, in parks, at Queens Theater in the Flushing Meadow Park; at Fort Totten in Bayside, at Glow Community Center in Flushing, and of course in my neighborhood park -Travers Park, Jackson Heights, NY among others. There is.a special level of community engagement that happens outside with the sounds of life; and of community,- . Although quite different (not a judgement) than a stage/formal situation, it is quite enriched by the audience members of 5 years(and younger-children love my dances/dancing!) to 90. There is a great respect, I am learning, that people have for the arts, especially movement. The photos below was taken at the Murray Playground in LIC, and the one indoors at the Glow Community Center. And of course my travel to Tawaiin with Horse Dane Theater, and in Kaohsiung teaching Klein Technique and Working on workshop participants with Zero Balancing. This is always a special trip for me, although there were three workshop years on Zoom!! but in all, we had our ninth year of workshops.

October began with 2 delightful evenings of dance, choreographed and directed by Leslie Satin with performances by Vicky Shick, Jeremy Nelson, Ms. Satin, Jeff McMahon, Janet Charlston, and myself at Arts on Site, Manhattan,Ntc.

All classes are in continuing- both on Zoom and in Person – please join us! Movement Research hosts the in person classes and I host the zoom.

More news, shall come as we cross this big November election time, and more news from the creative-in-studio process.
