It has been an exciting, busy, confusing bunch of months – having been teaching daily, quite some hours, on ZOOM almost 4 years,
- Live in person classes have once again come onto my Plate!
- INTERNATIONAL travel! so exciting, challenging, – traveling again to Taiwan after 3 summers on zoom – working both with the HORSE dance community in Taipei, as well as Kaohsiung in the south of the country, teaching at Weiwuying – Summer Camp at the Opera House. Klein technique workshops of 4 days each, 5-6 hours every day. SOOOOOOOOO amazingly fabulous.

- SUMMER MELT -followed soon after, – with Movement Research, -Melt being a 3-5 week summer “FESTIVAL” of dance workshops of all styles in NYC. Also immensely satisfying and fabulous.
- Performances even! This being the 10th Anniversary of the QueensborodanceFestival – all Queens based choreographers in mainly outdoor settings – in the borough of Queens – parks, plazas, etc, culminating in the season finale weekend at QueensTheater, Flushing Meadow Park the weekend of September 15.

About BarbaraMahler-Klein Technique/Choreography
Barbara Mahler is a long-standing and active member of the New York City dance community as a choreographer, performer and educator - a master teacher of and contributor to the out reach of Klein Technique™ ( first certified teacher, teaching at the school 1982-2004). She is a Zero Balancing Teacher and Practitioner, and through these mediums of touch, movement, and performance, is involved in the extraordinary and intricate world of the poetry, expressiveness and intricacies of the person and the body- always learning.
As a choreographer, she draws upon the intricate and infinite possibilities of the textures of time, space and the (her) body, creating dances that are spare, articulate, emotional," and elegant" (NY Times). Her choreography is consistent with her teaching vision and bodywork: exploring the endless possibilities that the heart can reveal.
Barbara has been an on-going faculty member with Movement Research (NYC) since 2004 and was an ongoing guest faculty at the State Theater School in Copenhagen, Denmark 1994-2015. She has traveled extensively through out Europe, and is now approaching her 10th teaching anniversary with HORSE Dance in Taiwan. She has taught at many other studios, colleges, and dance festivals in the greater NY area as well as across the US. She travels abroad and across the United States, Canada and Europe creating, performing and teaching.
Barbara is a senior teacher and practitioner of Zero Balancing, a hands on healing modality, maintaining a private practice in movement therapy, and body work.
